Our History

America The Beautiful Dreamer was founded in 1970 by the Thompson family on Main Street in Vancouver, Washington. Originally a records store, business transitioned to furniture after having huge success carrying waterbeds in the 80's. The franchise quickly grew to nearly 50 stores across the entirety of the Pacific Northwest. During the subprime mortgage crises of 2007-2010, the business transitioned to a wholesale role and closed all retail locations. Now, we’ve opened our distribution center to the public and retail our collections at wholesale prices. August 2020 marks our 50th year in business.

We strive to offer unique home furnishings at exceptional values. Almost all of our collections are kept in-stock and ready to go. If you are local, come visit our showroom in Vancouver, WA. We are located in back of Orchards Business Park, off of 117th Street.
